President Donald Trump unleashed an angry tirade against his own deputy attorney general on Friday, and the internet can't stop laughing at him for it.

In a Friday morning tweet, Trump wrote he was "being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director," a process that he described as a "witch hunt."

While he didn't mention Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein by name, it was Rosenstein's memo about former FBI Director James Comey that the administration initially used as a justification for firing him. Later, however, Trump said that he would have fired Comey regardless of Rosenstein's memo, while also hinting that he axed the former FBI director because he believed the Russia investigation was a "fake story."

Trump's decision to turn on his own deputy AG sparked instant ridicule on the internet, as many Twitter users questioned whether Trump had completely lost control of his own sanity. Others, meanwhile, noted that Trump's latest tweet will very likely come back to bite him when he's deposed under oath by Mueller and his team.
