'He's scared': Trump called out for startling rally 'confession' about upcoming debate

Donald Trump on Saturday predicted that President Joe Biden would be "jacked up" on drugs at the upcoming presidential debate, but his odd choice of descriptors left the internet wondering whether the former president was speaking from experience.

Trump, who was also ridiculed for numerous verbal "misfires" during his speech, suggested that Biden will outperform expectations when they finally debate.

Trump just revealed his debate strategy. Here's how Biden's team is responding

Former President Donald Trump recently telegraphed how he'll come at President Joe Biden in next week's presidential debate. Now, Biden's advisors are refining the president's counter-attack.

In his latest column for the New Republic, writer Greg Sargent delved into how Biden's campaign team is preparing the president to respond to likely attacks from his Republican opponent focused on immigration. On his Truth Social platform, Trump strongly hinted that he'll be attempting to pin isolated incidents of undocumented immigrants committing violent crimes on Biden.

'Babbling': Trump biographer predicts ex-president will be 'fumbling badly' at debate

At the upcoming presidential debate, Donald Trump will shine a spotlight on the fact that he's not more mentally sharp than President Joe Biden, according to the former president's biographer.

Tim O'Brien, who spent massive amounts of time with Trump before writing TrumpNation: The Art of Being the Donald, appeared on MSNBC on Saturday where he was asked about Trump's debate with Biden. Earlier this month, O'Brien undermined the ex-president's claim that he wasn't concerned about jail after being convicted on 34 counts.

'His brains are pudding': Internet mocks Trump for 'incoherent' defense of 'rambling' rant

Donald Trump on Saturday sought to push back against reports that he was "rambling" when he told a story about sharks and electrocution at a recent rally, leading some onlookers to say his attempt to defend his remarks was worse than the original telling itself.

Trump earlier in June ranted at a rally about batteries and shark attacks, leading the internet to question the ex-president's mental capacity. The former president was speaking in Las Vegas, when he at one point veered off into a discussion about shark attacks while apparently discussing President Joe Biden's environmental priorities related to electric vehicles.

Trump has 'more serious' problems than cognitive as he heads into debate: ex-Senator

Appearing on MSNBC's "The Weekend " on Saturday morning, former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) had some advice for President Joe Biden as he heads into his debate with disgraced ex-president Donald Trump and then she hinted the former president has additional issues of his own that go beyond questions about his mental competence.

Speaking with co-host Alicia Menendez, McCaskill stated Biden needs to go for the jugular when he confronts what is expected to be a combative Trump.

"I mean, they've [Trumps' camp] gone way out of their way to make this man [Biden] look incompetent," she pointed out. "When Joe Biden shows up — and not only will — he doesn't respect Donald Trump. I don't think he's going to be afraid to say 'Hey shut up man, again,' or even maybe more like 'Do you ever quit lying?'"

"I mean, he's got to do that, he's got to leave the presidential dignified Joe Biden at the door and he's got to appear as scrappy Joe from Scranton who's willing to take on big guys that are not there for the little guy," she continued. "And if he does that — you know, Donald Trump has his own cognitive issues and frankly he's got things that are more serious. But the point is that Joe Biden has an opportunity here, he has an opportunity to clear the air about whether or not he's strong enough to be commander-in-chief for another four years."

Lindsey Graham's 'mindnumbingly stupid' Fox News attack on Biden brutally dismantled

Reacting to a clip of Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) labeling President Joe Biden a "felon," former RNC chair and current MSNBC host Michael Steele laid into the South Carolina Republican for debasing himself even more in the service of Donald Trump.

As Steele put it Republicans are ramping up their attacks on Biden as Trump starts to slip in the polls, with Graham taking the new level up on that, " and the MSNBC host setting up the clip with, "Let's take a listen to what he has to say about Joe Biden as the real felon. "

Speaking with Fox personality Jesse Watters, a furious Graham sneered, "Next time you hear the word 'felon' in this election, I think the felon in this election is Joe Biden. What he's doing to the country is criminal."

"It is just mindnumbingly stupid what he just said," Steele commented as the clip concluded.

"Because, what you're saying ... I have a difference with his policies that's somehow criminal and therefore he's a felon," he continued. "Donald Trump was convicted by 12 of his peers in a New York courtroom 34 times. Help us narratively explain to folks why they should take the fog out of their eyes and understand the difference between these two when they are looking at assessing which of these two men, not is a felon, but who should be president of the United States."

Trump’s latest flip-flop shows his propensity to bend to 'views of wealthy donors': report

In his endeavor to return to the White House, former President Donald Trump is now softening on what is supposed to be his cornerstone policy issue: Immigration. A recent report suggests that this is merely his latest effort to ingratiate himself with potential political donors.

Politico reported Saturday that Trump's latest proposal — expediting the green card process for foreign-born graduates of American universities — is a "flip-flop" from his previous public stances in which he's endorsed severe limitations on immigration. This could be because American CEOs, like those on the Business Roundtable he recently met with, are dependent on immigrant labor for both low-paying jobs and more specialized work that requires a higher level of education.

Trump blows off prepping for 'the most important debate' to host a campaign rally

In just five days, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump will face off in their first debate of the 2024 cycle. While Biden has been huddling with advisors to prepare for the debate, the former president appears to be procrastinating.

The Daily Beast reported Saturday that Trump is holding a rally tonight in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania while Biden is at the presidential retreat at Camp David in Maryland to work on debate prep. The rally, which will be at Temple University in the northern part of the city, has already attracted the attention of anti-Trump protesters. The protesters will be both holding court outside the rally and will be displaying a mobile billboard that reads: "Donald Trump is coming to North Philly, but he can’t fool us," and calling him a "disaster for Black Americans."

'We have to stop it a second time': Trump accused of invoking Jan 6. attack in interview

Donald Trump claims he was robbed of a second term back in 2020 and appears to want to go on the offensive to prevent a sequel.

"I had 63 million [votes]," he said in an interview snippet with his former press secretary Sean Spicer on "The Sean Spicer Show." "And I was told if I get 63 million we win easily... But when they rig and cheat, you know, there's not a lot you can do about that other than you have to stop it."

Judge Chutkan may have creative way to get a 'trial' on the books before election: expert

While the nation sweats out a Supreme Court decision as to whether or not Donald Trump is immune from criminal prosecution — U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Judge Tanya Chutkan could still hold hearings or "mini trials" ahead of the November 5 election.

"It's going to be tough if there's a test to get that trial," said CNN legal expert Norm Eisen during a panel appearance on "The Situation Room."

Ted Cruz accuses Biden of breaking law with 'highly politicized' infrastructure signs

Sen. Ted Cruz is accusing President Joe Biden of mixing taxpayer dollars in his campaign maneuvers.

“I write to refer this to you for investigation as a possible violation of the Hatch Act, federal law that broadly prohibits using taxpayer dollars for campaign activity,” reads a letter Cruz submitted on Thursday to Hampton Dellinger, head of the Office of Special Counsel, according to POLITICO. “Congress, not President Biden, wrote [the infrastructure law], and it did not do so to aid the President’s reelection campaign.”

Judge Cannon's latest hearing has 'echoes' of last time she was reversed on appeal: expert

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon is straying dangerously close to the old pro-Trump tactics that got her reprimanded by a higher court, former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner told MSNBC's Alicia Menendez on Friday evening.

This comes as Cannon held the first part of a hearing on whether special counsel Jack Smith was illegally appointed to run the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case, a motion filed by former President Donald Trump's team that, as far as Kirschner is concerned, any reasonable judge would have thrown out long ago.
