The official Fox News Twitter account has gone dark.
The conservative news network has not tweeted out anything in the past 30-plus hours, since 2 pm EST on Thursday.
A Tribune News employee tweeted that he's talked to employees who said that the move was meant as a protest of the protest outside Tucker Carlson's house. The account associated with the protest was already taken offline.
"A Fox News employee tells me Fox is choosing to stay silent while protesting how Twitter handled posts targeting Tucker Carlson — specifically the ones that included his address," he said.
The silence of the normally active account has led to jokes and conspiracy theories on Twitter.
