'Mind-boggling:' Conservative writer stunned this MAGA scandal could take Trump down

A conservative columnist is stunned that the scandal threatening former President Donald Trump is not a criminal conviction, lying rhetoric aimed at Haitian immigrants or a riot at the U.S. Capitol that resulted in federal charges.

The Bulwark's Andrew Egger on Friday professed himself shocked that Trump's Achilles' heel could be porn site comments about Adolf Hitler, slavery and transgender pornography that an explosive CNN report linked to North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson.

'Kiss this seat goodbye': CNN conservative hits panic button over November election

According to conservative CNN political analyst Shermichael Singleton, the Republican party suffered a body blow late Thursday that could have a major impact on who wins the presidency in November.

Speaking with host John Berman about the bombshell report on North Carolina gubernatorial nominee Mark Robinson and his comments on an adult website where he described sexual acts that CNN refused to even describe, Singleton stated the GOP needs to exhaust every legal means to rid itself of the highly problematic lieutenant governor.

As he told Berman, he is concerned over the impact Robinson will have on down-ticket races for Republican before adding, "This guy is not going to win this race. I can just make that very clear now, he's just not going to win. He's been behind for I think several months now by pretty substantial margins"

"They decided to go with this guy and look at the results. This is someone that they clearly didn't do opposition research on. This is someone who certainly is a vulnerability and a liability and, in my personal opinion as a strategist, they need to kick him out," he added. "Forget that 'Well, let's just see what happens,' force him out of this."

"The deadline was last night, but do you get on stage Saturday and cut him loose and say, you know what..." host Berman interjected before Singleton interrupted him and stated, "You know what? Whatever legal maneuvering they need to figure out if possible, right, because I'm not sure of the state laws there. But if there is some way to replace them with someone else, they need to figure that out. Otherwise, they can just kiss this seat goodbye."

Trump could become 'collateral damage' to his own 'chaos' candidate: analysis

An X-rated scandal involving Donald Trump's endorsed choice for North Carolina governor could ruin his chances of winning the crucial swing state.

Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, who has already been dogged by controversies involving his misogynist comments, conspiracy theories and alleged violations by a day care he and his wife ran, was hit with a new scandal involving lewd and racist posts he allegedly made years ago on a smut forum, and CNN's Stephen Collinson argued a loss could signal an end to the Trump era.

'Alarmed' Trump is scrambling to distance himself from self-proclaimed Nazi candidate

Former President Donald Trump in the past had repeatedly praised North Carolina gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson as a "star" in the Republican Party.

However, after CNN exposed Robinson's past writings on a pornography website in which he described himself as a "Black NAZI," said he would prefer to have Adolf Hitler leading America than former President Barack Obama, listed the benefits of bringing back slavery, and boasted of engaging in a wide range of sexual degeneracies, Trump is apparently getting cold feet about being associated with him.

'Failure of leadership': Hoffa rips O'Brien over Teamsters' snub of Harris

The former longtime president of the International Brother of Teamsters, James P. Hoffa, called out his successor Sean O'Brien late Thursday over the powerful union's announcement earlier in the week that it would effectively sit on the sidelines of this year's presidential election by refusing to endorse either Kamala Harris or Donald Trump.

"This is a critical error and frankly, a failure of leadership by Sean O'Brien," Hoffa said in a statement. "This election is too important for our union not to do its duty. We must take a stand for working Americans. There is only one candidate in this race that has supported working families and unions throughout their career, and that is Vice President Kamala Harris."

Trump is 'at a moment of desperation' as election slips away: MSNBC analyst

Reacting to the increasingly harsh rhetoric about immigrants coming out of Donald Trump's campaign, MSNBC political analyst Elise Jordan suggested the former president has become desperate.

During a discussion on threats from Republicans to let the government shut down if they can't tie a new budget bill to the so-called SAVE act which would make voting more difficult for minorities, Jordan pointed out that the former president is hoping for a shutdown as a political ploy to help his campaign.

With MSNBC host Joe Scarborough stating, "Donald Trump is again leading them down a dangerous electoral path," Jordan replied, "Donald Trump doesn't actually care about the functioning of the American government and that American citizens have government institutions that are funded and able to respond to their needs."

"He cares about scoring political points right now," she accused. "You look at what happened with the border bill: there was a chance for there to be bipartisan agreement to do something about the crisis at the border, but, no, Donald Trump torpedoes it."

"He's not interested in policy and doing anything that actually helps the American people. He only is out for himself and his narrow electoral interest, which is why we're seeing increased fear-mongering. Him using words like 'infested' and 'dehumanizing' to immigrants and migrants," she elaborated. "We're hearing that because he is in a moment of desperation."

"It reminds me of 2018 when he was ranting about the caravans of migrants coming over the border: that was an election where he was nervous. He didn't fare as well. I think this is just repeating again," she predicted.
