Donald Trump has been fighting multiple gag orders, but the former president actually wants them to remain in place and will do everything in his power to make sure that's the case, a political analyst said on Saturday.

Florida pollster and political analyst Fernand Amandi appeared on MSNBC's American Voices with Alicia Menendez, where he was asked about the "direct line" drawn from Trump's comments "to the way his supporters and fans come out to harass public people." Specifically, the host asked Amandi about Trump's claim that the New York gag order could actually harm his presidential bid.

Biden trolls primary opponent: 'Will miss his support for the Biden-Harris' agenda

President Joe Biden has rarely commented on the Democratic presidential primary campaign of Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minnesota), but he made an exception following Phillips' Friday announcement that he was retiring from Congress.

Phillips, who was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2018, threw his hat into the presidential ring in late October, becoming the first sitting Democratic member of Congress to run against Biden in the 2024 Democratic primary. On Friday, Phillips said he would not be running for a fourth term, saying it was "time to pass the torch."

Trump adviser faces backlash after vulgar comments about Casey DeSantis

Longtime Donald Trump adviser Roger Stone is getting some pushback after he alluded to the "c" word to describe Casey DeSantis, the wife of Trump's Florida GOP rival Ron DeSantis.

Trump snaps at key Iowa evangelical leader with accusation he sold his endorsement

On Saturday afternoon Donald Trump launched an assault on Bob Vander Plaats, head of the Iowa-based nonprofit Family Leader Foundation, for endorsing Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) before the Iowa caucuses begin.

On Nov. 21 the influential evangelical leader threw his support behind the Florida governor who has been fighting an uphill battle in the state to overtake the former president in a key battle for the 2024 Republican party presidential nomination.

According to Vander Plaats, "I think America would be well served to have a choice, and I really believe Ron DeSantis should be that guy. And I think Iowa is tailor-made for him to win this.”

Trump apparently took exception to the idea of DeSantis being the "guy" and took to Truith Social to attack the evangelical leader while also accusing him of selling his endorsement.

"Bob Vander Plaats, the former High School Accountant from Iowa, will do anything to win, something which he hasn’t done in many years. He’s more known for scamming Candidates than he is for Victory, but now he’s going around using Disinformation from the Champions of that Art, the Democrats," he wrote.

Trump's 'final battle' rant contains a 'terrifying' message for evangelicals: analyst

According to MSNBC analyst Sarah Posner, a Truth Social rant last week where Donald Trump promised to "cast out the Communists, Marxists, and Fascists," employed coded language to his evangelical followers that their time is coming if he is re-elected in 2024.

As Posner notes the use of "cast out" by the former president where he also promised, "we will demolish the Deep State, we will expel the warmongers from our government, we will drive out the globalists," has special meaning to far-right Christians who want a takeover of the American government.

Colorado Supreme Court schedules new hearing in Trump 14th Amendment case

The Colorado Supreme Court agreed to consider appeals in a case over whether former President Donald Trump should be barred from the state’s 2024 primary ballot. The Denver-based court Tuesday scheduled oral argument for Dec. 6.

The case stems from a lawsuit filed by six Colorado voters who argue that Trump is disqualified from office under a Civil War-era insurrection clause in the 14th Amendment due to his involvement in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Both parties appealed a Denver District Court decision from earlier this month that said Trump should be placed on Colorado’s March presidential primary ballot.
