Trump comes out 'totally against' Mike Johnson's bill to prevent government shutdown

President-elect Donald Trump told Fox News host Lawrence Jones he was "totally against" a Republican bill that would prevent the government from partially shutting down before he takes office on Jan. 20.

In a Wednesday post on X, Jones said he had spoken to Trump "and he is 'totally against' the proposed CR."
