'Uncomfortable': Expert says Trump will 'fail' upcoming court mental health questions

Donald Trump is about to be put even more out of his comfort zone as the legal system continues to put its weight upon him now that he's been convicted of 34 felonies.

Trump started fundraising after the jury of his peers found him guilty in the case where he was accused of paying off a porn star to hide an alleged affair for the purposes of impacting the 2016 election. Trump's biographer, David Cay Johnston, said he'd be "surprised" if the ex-president was sentenced to fewer than 30 days in jail.

'Trump has 'no better option' and is 'stuck' with current losing legal team: reporter

After describing the shock Donald Trump and his lawyers demonstrated after the Manhattan hush money jury ruled against him on 34 felony counts on Thursday, the Guardian's Hugo Lowell said now-convicted Trump likely has no alternatives when it comes to legal representation as he moves on to his next trial.

Speaking with MSNBC host Katie Phang, Lowell described how crestfallen Trump and his lawyers were when they realized the jury had reached their verdict so quickly, describing the former president and his team laughing and joking when they were called back into the courtroom before they received the bad news.

Asked about what is next for Trump, Lowell said his next stop is Fort Pierce, Florida where Trump's team led by losing attorney Todd Blanche will immerse his team in the obstruction of justice case being overseen by Trump appointee Judge Aileen Cannon.

Asked if there were any lawyer changes planned after the Manhattan debacle left the former president as a convicted felon, Lowell claimed the former president is stuck with them.

"We will see Todd Blanche in Ft. Pierce with us at the evidentiary hearings?" host Phang asked.

"That is the expectation," Lowell replied. "And, again, the fact that he is still here is indicative of the fact that they think there is nothing he could have done and they have no other better option, you know?"

"Trump is stuck with the legal team he has now," he continued. "You know, and it is him [Blanche] and Emil Bove and they know that this is going to be the team that rides through to the end."

'Old and decrepit' Trump rant exposed him as 'a shadow of what he was four years ago'

MSNBC host Katie Phang said Donald Trump did himself no favors at his Friday press conference where he rambled about his felony convictions, with the former prosecutor saying he appeared "old and decrepit" while handing prosecutors more ammo that can be used against him.

Appearing on MSNBC's "The Weekend," Phang made a comparison to the film "Weekend at Bernie's" where a recently deceased businessman is passed off as still being alive.

Speaking with the hosts of "The Weekend," she explained Trump's Friday 40-minute rant probably pleased prosecutors from the Manhattan District Attorney's office.

"He is digging himself into a deeper hole," she explained. "He is showing a lack of remorse that the judge will take into account when he is deciding what to do for the sentence."

"The fact that there was the defiance of the gag order yesterday, he violated it during deliberations, during opening arguments," she elaborated. "Just because you didn't see the DA's office file a motion doesn't mean it didn't happen."

Watch: Lauren Boebert loses it on debate moderator as he grills her on Beetlejuice lies

A Colorado anchorman had Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) back on her heels during a debate among candidates seeking the House seat representing the state's 4th district by pressing her on her lies about her Beetlejuice groping theater scandal.

The contentious back and forth between Channel 9's Kyle Clark and the controversial GOP lawmaker ended with him ignoring her personal attacks on him as he moved on to other candidates who stood by and watched the squabble.

Boebert attempted to dismiss the scandal that made her a national joke saying she had made mistakes and apologized for her conduct, but Clark persisted and asked her if she had apologized to the service workers she harassed and abused as she was escorted from the Denver theater where she was filmed giving them the finger.

"Did you apologize for lying to voters about what you did that night and the disrespect you showed to service workers," he asked. "What specifically were you apologizing for?"

A stuttering Boebert replied, "I don't believe there was disrespect. Things were absolutely taken out of context."

"There's a video of your interactions with service workers," Clark reminded her .

"Well, it has been reported that I flipped someone off and I did not," Boebert shot back. "I think it has been very mischaracterized. I'm apologizing for you, Kyle Clark, for getting video and releasing that and people seeing it in a very private moment."

She then went on the attack, stating, "But you just recently had an interview with City Cast Denver about how disgusting it is to record someone without their knowledge!"

As Boebert continued to rage at him he turned to the other candidates and proposed talking about earmarks as he ignored her tirade.

'Stupid' Trump attorney Blanche pounded by Michael Cohen for botching felony trial

Former Donald Trump lawyer Michael Cohen pounced on the now convicted ex-president's current primary lawyer Todd Blanche on MSNBC Saturday morning, renewing his attack on Blanche as "the stupidest lawyer of all time (SLOAT)" and claiming he botched Trump's defense which led to a clean sweep of 34 felony convictions.

Appearing on "The Weekend," Cohen picked apart Blanche's strategy while calling the former prosecutor "stupid" for letting his client dictate the direction the defense should take.

After watching a clip of Blanche explaining how he might appeal the devastating verdict and attacking Cohen as a witness, the former Trump lawyer stated, "You know I have a name for Todd, it's called 'SLOAT —stupidest lawyer of all time.'"

"Let me be very clear Todd, because I'm sure he's watching like everyone else," he continued. "He's the stupidest lawyer of all time. Why? You don't make the defense of a case like this 'Let's discredit one of the witnesses, let's discredit the narrator of the story.' There are 19 other people that were called by the district attorney, by prosecutors ... 19 people testified which all corroborated, again, the narrative of my story. What I had been saying again for six years, corroborated by 19 independent people, some of whom still work for Trump and remain loyal to him."

Asked if Trump was "calling the shots," Cohen explained, "Guaranteed it was Donald Trump calling the shots. I saw him do it 2007 when I started working for him. He calls the shots, it's the wrong thing to do, you don't allow your client dictate to you the terms of your defense especially when you're talking about something as serious as this case."

"It is again stupid, which is why I called him the SLOAT," he added.

Trump family insider says Ivanka now gets 'nothing' out of her relationship with her dad

Former first daughter Ivanka Trump is no longer getting any value out of her relationship with her father, former President Donald Trump, said his niece Mary Trump on CNN Friday.

This comes after the former president was convicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records, in a New York felony case that centered on his efforts to silence any news of an extramarital affair he allegedly had with adult film star Stormy Daniels while his wife and former First Lady Melania was taking care of his child — a trial in which neither Melania nor Ivanka showed up to a single day of the proceedings.

Trump 'begging' for jail by taking 'flame thrower to the judge and jury': James Comey

The chances of the now convicted felon Donald Trump seeing the inside of a prison cell may be close to nil. But former FBI Director James Comey thinks his former boss is provoking the judge to inflict a stiff sentence.

"It seems unlikely, but I've never seen a defendant begging for a jail sentence more than one who's taken a flame thrower to the judge and the jury," said Comey who appeared on CNN's "The Situation Room" to plug his new crime novel "Westport." "It still seems unlikely to me, but Donald Trump is asking for it."
