An ICE agent fatally shot a 37-year-old woman named Renee Nicole Good, a U.S. citizen, at the scene of an immigration raid as Good tried to drive away. The shooting sparked significant outrage, with Republicans quick to call the incident an example of "left-wing terrorism." Thousands of people attended a vigil for Good on Wednesday night.

A witness who was called to testify before the Republican-led Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday scathed the senators who were present for trying to "distort the record" about judges who have ruled against President Donald Trump.

Trump has repeatedly threatened judges during his second administration and called for those who rule against him to be impeached. Some of those threats have inspired Trump-supporters to also threaten judges, according to reports.

ICE agents shot and killed a 37-year-old woman in southern Minneapolis, Minnesota, who was attempting to drive away from a raid. Videos circulated online show the woman trying to wave at agents in an unmarked vehicle before they stopped, exited the vehicle, and approached her. Agents pulled their weapons as the woman attempted to drive away and shot her at least three times.

A self-described "right-leaning" witness to the deadly shooting in Minneapolis on Tuesday was left aghast by what he saw out of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

An ICE officer shot and killed a 37-year-old woman who was turning her car around after driving up on an immigration raid, according to Minnesota Public Radio. Video posted online shows the driver trying to wave a couple of unmarked ICE vehicles by before agents approached the car with weapons drawn. The woman tried to drive away and was shot three or four times from a close distance, according to the report. The woman, who is a U.S. citizen, died in the vehicle.

Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) had a blunt message for Immigration and Customs Enforcement after an officer was caught on video fatally shooting a woman as she appeared to drive away in her car: get out of our state.

Furthermore, he said in his announcement, he stands ready to activate the Minnesota National Guard to protect people from violence.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth suggested that the U.S. would invade Venezuela with troops unless the country allowed between 30 million and 50 million barrels of oil to be brought to the U.S.

During a Wednesday interview on the Charlie Kirk show, host Blake Neff asked Hegseth what would prompt President Donald Trump to put "boots on the ground" in Venezuela.

Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA) and Rep. James Comer (R-KY) clashed over a Republican failure to investigate fraud in the Trump administration.

During a House Oversight Committee hearing on Wednesday, Lee argued that "nobody here believes that rooting out fraud and waste and abuse is not a top priority of this committee."

Dr. Mehmet Oz, President Donald Trump's administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), pushed for American seniors to "work one year longer" because he claimed it would benefit the economy.

During a Wednesday White House briefing, Oz blamed low gross domestic product (GDP) growth for rising health care expenditures.

Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-MA) used a Republican hearing on alleged daycare fraud in Minnesota to express his outrage at what he said was the illegal renaming of the Kennedy Center.

"I just want to say from this committee, this investigative committee, if we're really looking for fraud, if we're truly looking for fraud," Lynch told the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday, "we don't need to go far. I can even suggest the address 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. If we're looking for fraud in this country, that's a great place to start."

Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) lashed out at Republicans on the House Oversight Committee for jumping on alleged daycare fraud in Minnesota while ignoring President Donald Trump's pardons of fraudsters.

"And when people commit fraud, and people get hurt, there's going to be repercussions as there should be," Garcia said during a Wednesday hearing. "We want to hold fraudsters accountable. We want to protect the victims and innocent people."

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) admitted on Newsmax Wednesday morning that she isn't confident Republicans are going to retain the majority in the House of Representatives in this year's midterm elections.

However, she refused to put any of the blame on President Donald Trump or Republican policies, instead spinning the narrative that Republicans have been obstructed in the Senate from passing enough of the MAGA agenda to satisfy voters.
