During an appearance Sunday on Fox News, comedian Rob Schneider morphed himself into his character from Adam Sandler’s 1998 film “The Waterboy” to attack Democrats and endorse a GOP mayoral candidate.

That candidate is Spencer Pratt, a registered Republican who is vying to become the next mayor of Los Angeles, California, and oust incumbent Mayor Karen Bass. Spencer has been fiercely promoted by right-wing figures, though remains several points behind Bass in recent polls.

GOP strategist David Urban, who in 2016 served as President Donald Trump’s senior campaign adviser, issued his former boss a harsh warning on Sunday, cautioning the president that he may soon face a wave of congressional subpoenas if he doesn’t dramatically shift course ahead of the midterm elections.

Appearing on CNN, Urban was responding to Trump’s remarks last week where he told reporters that he didn’t “care about the midterms” as it relates to his deeply unpopular war against Iran.

Michele Bachmann's claim that God will hand Republicans the midterms if Donald Trump continues military action against Iran drew sharp rebuke Friday from an unlikely corner — a prominent America First conservative who once supported her presidential run.

Bachmann, the former Minnesota congresswoman and 2012 Republican presidential candidate, made the remarks in a video that quickly circulated online. "Trump and Netanyahu were appointed for this task, destined for this task," she said. "This is a biblical moment. If Trump takes care of Iran, God will deliver the midterms and the Israeli elections."

Victor Marx, the Republican frontrunner for Colorado governor, declined to say how many people he has killed when pressed by a local television reporter, responding to the question with "Does it matter?"

The exchange, which aired ahead of the weekend, came during a 30-minute interview conducted by Kyle Clark of 9News. Marx, who has built a political brand around a tough-guy image, claims he was forced to kill a man at age 7 and has spoken publicly about killings he says were connected to his work as a "high risk missionary."

Brought on to talk about former Attorney General Pam Bondi’s appearance before members of the House Oversight Committee on Friday, where the fired former Trump official was described as “combative” and unwilling to talk about the president, the New Mexico Democrat also weighed in on reports that Trump’s DOJ is looking at investigating Trump sexual abuse victim E. Jean Carroll.

CNN contributor John Avlon called out former Rep. Peter Meijer (R-MI) on Saturday morning during a conversation about the Republican attempts to paint rising Democratic star James Talarico as a wild-eyed extremist.

According to Meijer, whose own star crashed to the ground after one term, the moderate Texas lawmaker running for the Senate seat currently held by Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) has yet to assure voters he is not aligned with Middle Eastern terrorists.

On Saturday morning, CNN host Abby Phillip was forced to call out a New York Post journalist who went on an extended rant attacking E. Jean Carroll while justifying a possible DOJ investigation of the Donald Trump adversary.

On “Table for Five,” the conversation moved from Trump’s “lawfare” slush fund, to the accusations from the Trump administration that Carroll might have perjured herself during one of her winning lawsuits filed against the president.

Reacting to an MS NOW report that White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles has been counseling panicky staffers who want Donald Trump to get back to issues that concern voters because of his cratering approval numbers, “The Weekend” co-host Jonathan Capehart claimed the trusted presidential advisor is fighting a losing battle.

According to the report, Wiles tried to assuage concerns and advised them to “let Trump be Trump.”

President Donald Trump's $1.776 billion "Anti-Weaponization" slush fund is now facing jeopardy on multiple fronts, with one just pausing the fund and another reopening the Trump lawsuit against the IRS that formed the basis for it. And things could be about to get ugly for the president, former federal prosecutor Preet Bharara told MS NOW's Jen Psaki on Friday evening.

"Let's just start with Judge Williams' ruling tonight, which effectively reopens the IRS case that Trump supposedly settled, kind of pulled it out of court, I guess," said Psaki. "Give us your thoughts on how that order came to be and what it means."
