'Get out of the way': CNN legal expert rips Trump over DC ride-along stunt

President Donald Trump announced he was going to "go out" in Washington, D.C. on Thursday night, marking one of the few times he has left the White House for an evening on the town outside his own properties. Details of Trump's ride-along haven't been disclosed, so it's unclear whether he'll go to high-crime neighborhoods or posh ones like Georgetown. One resident, and CNN legal analyst, couldn't help but ridicule the president.

"If the president truly cared about public safety in the District of Columbia, he could get out of the way of law enforcement and let them do their jobs," said former federal prosecutor Elliot Williams.

Trump fraud case 'will continue' after judges have 'profound disagreement' on major ruling

An appeals court has thrown out the massive penalty against President Donald Trump in his civil fraud case, but "profound disagreement" among the judges who decided the ruling means their decision won't likely be the final word.

CNN's Kara Scannell reported that the five-judge panel tossed the nearly half-a-billion-dollar judgment against Trump imposed by New York Judge Arthur Engoron in a case brought by state Attorney General Letitia James, who accused the president of fraudulently inflating the value of his real estate holdings to obtain better loan terms from banks.

JD Vance’s attempt to push back at the social media war that California Gov.
