Trump's attack on Biden's age is blowing up in his face big time: Morning Joe

Reacting to new polling showing Donald Trump losing older voters to President Joe Biden by a stunning margin, the panel on MSNBNC's "Morning Joe" suggested the former president is scaring away a key voting block he needs in his third bid for the Oval Office.

Noting that in the new poll, Biden leads 60 percent to 39 percent among voters over 65, the panel agreed that Trump's attacks on Biden's age may be a major factor along with the chaos that always accompanies Trump is scaring off older voters.

Morning Joe hosts stunned by 'old man' Trump's latest 'incredible political mistake'

Reacting to answers Donald Trump gave during a "softball" town hall on Fox News on Wednesday night, the entire "Morning Joe' staff was stunned by what co-host Joe Scarborough called an "incredible political mistake" made by the former president.

After showing a clip of Trump bragging about his part in overturning Roe v. Wade — a political minefield for GOP lawmakers — the hosts said the former president didn't do his third campaign for president any favors.

"He bragged about 'terminating' Roe v. Wade. He said, 'If it weren't for me, that 10-year-old girl in Ohio that an illegal immigrant raped, if it weren't for me, she wouldn't have had to flee the state. If it weren't for me, women wouldn't be, like, dying outside of emergency rooms because doctors are afraid to conduct women's health care,'" Scarborough explained. "He admitted — again, it was such an easy forum, it's not like he was backed into the corner — he admitted he was the one who terminated Roe v. Wade. What did the Biden people do last night? They're just hanging out. They were probably laughing at all the Republican chaos in the debate."

"He's grown so old and hobbled intellectually, I guess," he added. "He thinks he is running against Barack Obama, he's worried about World War II starting."

"Even in the most gentle of circumstances, he made an incredible political mistake, and he knows it this morning— he knows it," he elaborated. "Incredible political mistake last night. 'I was the one who terminated Roe v. Wade. I was the one, just me, nobody else could have stripped away 50 years of women's rights the way I, Donald Trump, did."'

Shaking his head he added, "The old man did it again."

Republicans should say if Biden can have Trump killed without facing charges: ex-GOP chair

Former President Donald Trump's campaign rivals should answer whether they agree with his attorney John Sauer's argument in the D.C. Court of Appeals that the former president couldn't have been prosecuted even for ordering the military assassination of a political opponent, as long as he was not impeached over the offense, argued former Republican Party chair Michael Steele on MSNBC Wednesday — because the obvious logical extension of this argument is that President Joe Biden couldn't be prosecuted for having Trump killed either.

This comes as Chris Christie, the only Republican presidential candidate who took it upon himself to condemn the assassination theory, dropped out of the race this evening.

'It's on you!' CNN host tears apart House GOPer over blame for potential shutdown

As the House falls once again into paralysis with a hard-right flank of Republican lawmakers revolting at the deal House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is reportedly nearing with President Joe Biden, one of the dissenters, Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), went on CNN to defend the brinksmanship bringing the government close to a shutdown — and was grilled relentlessly by anchor Pamela Brown.

"There is a very slim majority in the House, you've got a Democrat-controlled senate and a Democratic president, this is what you have to do to get the deal done," said Brown. "What do you say to that?"
