During an appearance on MSNBC on Sunday afternoon, noted political scientist Larry Sabato expressed extreme alarm at Donald Trump antics over the past few weeks and said there is a legitimate concern about the former president's sanity.

Speaking with host Alex Witt, the founder of the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia said the polls are still exceedingly tight for the election that is slightly over two weeks away.

Adding that voters need to take a serious "measure" of both nominees before heading to the polls, he suddenly changed direction and expressed concerns about the former president making his third bid for the Oval Office.

"We all know what the standard issues are in this campaign, but another one has been added by Donald Trump, which may dominate the remaining 16 days," he told the host, "Which is, how sane is he? How sane is he? Is he really unhinged?"

He added, "He certainly does appear that way in many of his presentations. He's always done weird things, but in the past couple of weeks, he has not only gone around the bend, he's gone off the tracks."

"And so there's a new issue, and it is bubbling up, and it might actually have an effect," he advised.

Trump surrogate Hogan Gidley defended former President Donald Trump after he praised the golfer Arnold Palmer's genitals.

During a Sunday panel on Newsmax, liberal pundit Ellis Henican confronted Gidley after he said that the American people did not care about the various court cases against Trump.

A complaint by a GOP operative that Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign has taken an ugly turn landed with a thud on CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday morning.

During the panel discussion hosted by Jake Tapper, former Trump 2020 campaign communications official Erin Perrine attempted to turn the conversation away from the former president's rally speech about golfer Arnold Palmer's private parts by stating the "joy" has gone out of his opponent's campaign.

That led CNN regular Bakari Sellers to laugh and exclaim, "No, no, no."

According to Perrine, "There was such platitudes about all the joy she was bringing, but now it's an aggressively negative message from her now against Donald Trump because here's the thing: Democrats know and as much as every day there is some level of self-fulfilling process prophecy. Donald Trump makes a comment, people get outraged, people talk about the outrage on panels and then they turn around...."

"The joy is gone, "Sellers interrupted before setting her up with, "I'm agreeing with you."

"The joy is gone because we had 20,000 people in Atlanta with Usher Raymond and the joy was absolutely not in the building," he sarcastically continued before asking, "What are you talking about?"

Fox News host Howard Kurtz argued with former President Donald Trump over "debunked" claims that Haitians were eating the pets of residents in Springfield, Ohio.

During an interview that aired on Sunday, Kurtz asked Trump why he would not admit that the assertion about Haitians was not true.

Fox News host Maria Bartiromo and Eric Trump sought to clean up former President Donald Trump's threat to use the U.S. military against "radical left lunatics" and "the enemy from within."

During a Sunday segment with Eric Trump on Fox News, Bartiromo complained that the media had focused on the former president's comments about "the enemy from within" after she interviewed him a week earlier.

At the conclusion of a combative interview with House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), CNN's Jake Tapper ended the 15-minute segment with a not-too-subtle potshot at the senior Republican official.

The "State of the Union" host was repeatedly rebuffed by Johnson when he asked about Donald Trump's antics, including his speech in Pennsylvania where the Republican nominee for the presidency started off a Pennsylvania rally by rambling on for ten minutes about golfer Arnold Palmer's penis.

The exchange led the normally unflappable Johnson to snap at the CNN host and talk over him while asking to change the subject.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) threw an angry on-air fit Sunday after retired Gen. Mark Milley called former President Donald Trump "fascist to the core."

During an interview on Meet the Press, host Kristen Welker quoted the retired four-star general from a recent Bob Woodward book.

Former New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu, a surrogate for Donald Trump, insisted that presidential "character" should not be a "top priority" for voters.

During an interview on Sunday, ABC host Martha Raddatz reminded Sununu that he had initially endorsed former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley for president.
