House GOP put on notice to expect a Tuesday Epstein files reckoning

Rep. Greg Landsman (D-OH) is betting the house on the House of Representatives being forced to vote on a measure that would unseal all files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

Calls for the release of more files related to Epstein, the disgraced financier alleged to have operated a human trafficking ring and a blackmail operation on powerful figures, have exploded since the Justice Department’s memo last week that shut down further investigation into the matter.

'Make sure you get a WSJ': MSNBC host predicts more to come on Trump on Monday

According to MSNBC host Jonathan Capehart, the Wall Street Journal will likely have more to say on Donald Trump in the Monday edition after the president filed a lawsuit over reporting on a letter the president allegedly wrote to accused pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Before going to commercial, Capehart noted the growing war between the president and the conservative Wall Street Journal that has led to a $10 billion lawsuit Trump has initiated after the Journal dropped its bombshell report.

As the MSNBC host pointed out, the Journal doesn't publish much on weekends so it is likely they are saving their ammo for Monday.

'You know, we keep talking about the Wall Street Journal story and now the president is suing," he stated to co-host Eugene Daniels

"I'm just wondering now, the Wall Street Journal is Monday through Friday –– they have their weekend edition, so not a whole lot of news comes out," he continued.

"But on Monday, y''all make sure you get a Wall Street Journal because they're like they're trying to say the president is, the administration are trying to say this is fake. But if the Wall Street Journal says, 'here it is'..." he said while smiling as his voice trailed off.

'Release it!' MSNBC host stunned by new report of treasure trove of Epstein video

Reacting to a report that Steve Bannon is reportedly sitting on hours of raw footage where he interviewed accused pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, a stunned and excited MSNBC host blurted "Release it!" on Saturday morning.

Appearing on MSNBC's "The Weekend," NBC reporter Vaughan Hillyard filled in co-hosts Jonathan Capehart and Eugene Daniels on his reporting that Bannon had planned a documentary on Epstein and has a reported 15 to 16 hours of video of interviews with him before he died while in custody.

As Hilyard wrote, "Mark Epstein said that Bannon, the MAGA media personality, worked with his brother, then a convicted sex offender, after the Miami Herald in 2018 chronicled victims’ details of abuse by Jeffrey Epstein. The two men filmed together before Epstein’s arrest by federal authorities in the summer of 2019."

On Saturday morning he told an open-mouthed Capehart, "Steve Bannon sat down and worked with Jeffrey Epstein and, according to Mark Epstein, the two men filmed about 15 to 16 hours worth of footage. Steve Bannon, after Jeffrey Epstein's death, actually had a meeting in New York with Mark Epstein and was talking to him about getting some funding to put together a documentary. Mark Epstein said, 'No, I'm not giving you any money for this documentary.'"

He then added, "The American public hasn't seen this 15 hours of footage. I reached out to Steve yesterday, haven't heard back from him. He has suggested last week on his own podcast that potentially he may release a documentary come next year. but that goes back to the whole thing of there's 15 hours of raw footage that Bannon has and while he's calling for full transparency and the unsealing of all the evidence of the files from the DOJ, he is yet to release his own."

"That's primary source reporting that Steve Bannon has right there!" Capehart exclaimed. "Then release it!"

'She's gone': Ex-GOP rep warns Pam Bondi is about to become Trump's 'fall woman'

Attorney General Pam Bondi could be on the chopping block as President Donald Trump and his inner circle scramble for any way to contain the fallout of their base's revolt over their delay and obfuscation in turning over the Jeffrey Epstein case files — but it won't be enough, former Rep. Denver Riggleman (R-VA) told MSNBC on Friday evening.

"Here's the thing. You know what they say, far-right conspiracy theorists: nothing to hide, nothing to fear," said Riggleman, a frequent critic of the MAGA movement. "So right now my question is, why don't they — why didn't Congress, just like, you know, Comer did with Hunter Biden, why wouldn't they want to call [Epstein associate Ghislaine] Maxwell to actually talk about the 50th birthday? Why wouldn't Congress want to have her to come there? I mean, you want the facts out, right, Mike? That's what we want to do, right?"

'That's the sign': Expert flags buried detail in Trump's WSJ suit that reveals true intent

President Donald Trump is angling to force the Wall Street Journal's parent company to pay out a settlement without even going to trial in his lawsuit over the new explosive reporting about his alleged lewd birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein, legal expert Lisa Rubin told MSNBC's Antonia Hylton on Friday.

"If his defamation case were to go that far, Donald Trump would have to sit for a deposition, exchange materials," said Rubin. "But of course, Donald Trump is counting on it never going that far, because in the two lawsuits that he's filed to date against other media organizations, he has extracted settlements from them well before those things could ever happen."

Bill Cosby's case may crack Trump's Epstein legal argument wide open: attorney

'No holds barred!' CNN expert warns Trump just walked himself into a legal trap

President Donald Trump's lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal for publishing this week's massive story about his salacious birthday letter to deceased financier and child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein exposes him to a massive legal risk, former prosecutor Elie Honig told CNN's Jake Tapper on Friday afternoon.

The story, which Trump reportedly scrambled behind the scenes to try to stop from going public at all, details a graphic letter Trump sent that was outlined by a doodle of a naked woman. Trump claims this letter was fabricated and he doesn't make drawings of that sort, even though a number of such Trump drawings have sold at auction.
