Here are the 6 most jaw-dropping statements from Trump's latest 'Fox & Friends' interview

Fox News on Thursday aired an interview with President Donald Trump in which he expounded on a number of subjects, ranging from hush money payments to porn stars to impeachment.

During the interview, the president made several bizarre and illogical statements that were at odds with both constitutional law and general reality -- check out the most mind-boggling moments below.

1.) Trump says he shouldn't be impeached because he's doing a "great job." When asked about the possibility of being impeached, the president dismissed what the Constitution says about the issue and said the only criteria for impeachment should be whether he's doing his job well or not.

"You know, I guess it says something like high crimes and all," he said. "I don't know how you can impeach somebody who has done a great job."

2.) Trump predicts that the entire American economy would implode were he ever impeached. Giving himself sole credit for the state of the U.S. economy, the president predicted total doom for America the very minute he's forced from office.

"If I ever got impeached, I think the market would crash," he said. "I think everybody would be very poor."

The president then pointed at his head and said, "Because without this thinking you would see, you would see numbers that you wouldn’t believe in reverse."

3.) Trump complains that Attorney General Jeff Sessions isn't stopping the Department of Justice from prosecuting his associates for felonies. The president continued to bitterly attack his own attorney general for recusing himself in the Russia probe, while suggesting that the AG's role should be to personally protect the president.

"He took the job and then he said, 'I'm going to recuse myself,'" Trump said. "I said, what kind of a man is this?"

4.) Trump attacks the FBI for the way it raided his former personal attorney and former campaign chairman. The president also complained about the treatment that associates Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen, both of whom were found guilty on multiple felony counts this week, received from the FBI.

"With Michael Cohen, in all fairness to him, they raid his office at six o'clock in the morning," he said. "Paul Manafort, they raided his home at, like, 5 in the morning, I think on a weekend, and his wife is in bed, and they go in with guns? This isn't Al Capone!"

5.) The president says that it should be "almost" illegal for convicted criminals to get a more lenient sentence by providing information about associates who are higher up in the chain of command.

Trump seemed particularly annoyed that Cohen could see his prison sentence reduced because he provided damaging information about him.

"It's called flipping and it almost ought to be illegal," he remarked. "They go from ten years to they're a national hero. They have a statue erected in their honor. It's not a fair thing.

6.) Trump says the vast majority of people who work in the media are "enemies of the people." The president reassured Fox News' Ainsley Earhart that he does not believe she or her colleagues are the "enemy of the people." Rather, he said that it's only the "fake news" media that are America's enemies -- which, according to his estimates constitute roughly 80 percent of the press.
