Capitol rioter ‘Baked Alaska’ busted again -- thanks to his own videos

The U.S. Capitol rioter and white supremacist live streamer known as "Baked Alaska" has been arrested for allegedly vandalizing a Hanukkah display.

The right-wing social media figure, whose legal name is Anthime Gionet, was charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal damage and attempted criminal damage for allegedly defacing the Hanukkah exhibit at the Arizona state Capitol on Dec. 19, 2020, which he recorded on live stream video, reported The Daily Beast.

"No more 'Happy Hanukkah,' only 'Merry Christmas,'" Gionet says in the video, which was viewed by the Phoenix New Times before it was deleted.

Gionet, who took part in the 2017 "Unite the Right" march in Charlottesville, was arrested on Jan. 15 and charged with illegally entering a restricted building and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds during the Jan. 6 insurrection, and his live stream video from that event was cited extensively in the indictment against him.

He was found guilty earlier this month for using pepper spray against a security guard who was trying to eject him from an Arizona bar, and footage from Gionet's livestream of that incident was used as evidence to convict him.

Gionet is expected to appear in court Dec. 1 for an arraignment on the defacement charges, and he's scheduled to be sentenced in January for the assault conviction.
