Oops! CNN reporter accidentally swears on air as she quotes White House officials on Trump
A CNN reporter seems to have accurately quoted her White House sources by accident — and blurted out a swear word on live television.
Senior White House correspondent MJ Lee reported Tuesday that President Joe Biden had personally directed senior campaign aids to focus more aggressively on the "crazy s--t" Donald Trump says in public, according to sources.
And she quoted them on the air.
"What we've learned is that President Biden himself personally instructed some of his top campaign aides to be even more aggressive in highlighting some of [former] President Trump's more inflammatory and wild comments," Lee reported. "We’re told that the thrust of the President’s direction was to significantly ramp up the campaign's efforts to highlight the crazy s--t that Trump says in public."
On CNN's website, Lee reported the quote with the letters "h" and "i" bleeped out using asterisks.
But the quote was not altered in her live standup report.
"You know, we've been seeing, of course for a while," Lee continued without missing a beat, "the Biden campaign trying to highlight what they see as black-and-white contrast between President Biden and former President Trump on everything including their temperament, their worldviews, their policies and, as the Biden campaign is making this pivot to a general election, this reporting seems to show that President Biden himself believes that it is incredibly important to make sure that they are really leaning into painting the former president as being unhinged and unfit for office."

Other White House reporters revealed earlier this month that Biden privately curses Trump.
The president is particularly troubled that Trump has encouraged political violence, which he believes is both un-American and a direct threat to democracy. His disgust for the ex-president has only grown stronger as he moves closer to locking up the Republican presidential nomination, according to reports.
