President Donald Trump is eyeing a trailer park near his Mar-a-Lago private resort in Palm Beach, Florida, as the site for his presidential library.
Briny Breezes is an incorporated town along State Route A1A that's a seasonal home to about 500 "snowbirds," but The Daily Beast reported that Trump is looking at what the website described as "one of the world’s most expensive trailer parks" as the home to his legacy.
"We hear Trump is not in the least fazed by the $1 billion it would take to buy the 43-acre seaside plot," The Beast reported in its "The Swamp" newsletter. "He’d get an entire town for his money. Trumpville has a nice ring."

The idea for Briny Breezes was suggested by rapper Vanilla Ice, who played his signature 1980s hit "Ice, Ice Baby" at the Mar-a-Lago New Year's Eve party.
"Trump has already pumped millions into an escrow account designated to a lasting memorial to the 45th and 47th president," The Swamp reported. "His goal is to make his library bigger and better than Reagan’s, which is generally considered to be best of brand."
By comparison, his predecessor Joe Biden hasn't settled on a site and is struggling to raise money for his presidential library, and Barack Obama's library in Chicago is still under construction nine years after leaving office.
“There is nothing formal, but it looks like there is interest in the property,” said Florida real estate broker James Arena. “It would not only be a presidential library. It would be the first presidential township in America."
Every other president has waited until leaving office to start raising money for their libraries, but Palm Beach sources told The Swamp that aspiring ambassadors believe that donations to Trump's library fund might get the president's attention, and ABC agreed to give $15 million to his library fund to resolve a defamation lawsuit.
“You have to be wealthy to even be in the running," said one Palm Beach insider. "Much of the costs are met by the ambassadors themselves, but don’t be surprised if there’s also an 'ask’ for the library."
