Funeral home owner accused of being insecticide-spraying MAGA rioter

The owner of a funeral home chain in Long Island, New York was arrested by FBI agents this week after being exposed as an alleged Capitol rioter.

NBC News reports that Peter G. Moloney of Bayport, New York, has been charged with spraying insecticide at police officers and assaulting members of the media on January 6th, 2021.

Moloney had been identified many months ago by the group of online sleuths known as the "Sedition Hunters," who frequently complained that it was taking too long to arrest the Trump supporter for his alleged crimes.

"Sleuths even made jokes referencing Moloney's business, saying they were 'dying' to see him arrested," reports NBC News. "Online sleuths have identified hundreds of additional Jan. 6 participants who have not yet been arrested."

More than 1,000 people so far have been charged related to the Capitol riots, which were incited by former President Donald Trump when he refused to concede the 2020 election and urged his followers to march to Congress to protest the election's certification.

Despite his central role in inciting the mob, however, Trump has not yet been charged criminally for his actions, although he does face two different 2020 election-related probes from special counsel Jack Smith and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
