CNN's Don Lemon bashes Kellyanne Conway's interview as a disservice to the American people

On Thursday, CNN's Don Lemon questioned why host Chris Cuomo took the time to interview President Donald Trump's counselor Kellyanne Conway if all she planned on doing was lying. Lemon called out Conway for being "dismissive," and for doing a disservice to the American people.

Lemon said that Conway and other Trump's lovers' goal is to serve as a distraction. Cuomo defended his decision to interview Conway by saying he did not want to silence the other side.

"I believe in exposing what the White House wants the American people to believe. I believe in testing it,"  he said. 

"It is not a right for someone to come on CNN and lie and deflect," Lemon responded. "This was a defective, dismissive and histrionic display of nonanswers."

He added, "At a time when the American people need to be reassured that we are in good hands. When all of the evidence shows that the president is lying to the American people, what Kellyanne Conway does and what the apologists--they take up your time, our time, on national television, when we could be learning something that's important to us." 

Lemon said that Conway doesn't respect Cuomo or the platform since she continued to attack him on a personal level.

 "This is the best they had to put out for the president of the United States, it tells you a lot. Insulting me, that is like ice cream. It proves you've run out of insights and arguments. All you got is a cheap shot," Cuomo said.
