Colin Kaepernick knocked down rumors that he would be willing to stand for the National Anthem if he was signed by another team to play in the NFL.
The free agent quarterback cryptically denied a CBS Sports report that said he would end his protest of racial inequality and police brutality for a chance to play pro football again.
The CBS reporter, Jason La Canfora, clarified to the Associated Press that he didn't even discuss the issue with Kaepernick during an interview.
ESPN's Howard Bryant said he'd heard from Kaepernick, who denied speaking with anyone about his plans for a possible return to the NFL.
