Appearing on Fox & Friends to talk up the impending endorsement from Ben Carson for his campaign, GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump dismissed a comments he made about Carson where he compared him to a child molester as "part of the game."
In November, Trump spoke with CNN's Erin Burnett about Carson's tales of his violent youth.
"You know, when he says he went after his mother and wanted to hit her in the head with a hammer, that bothers me. I mean, that's pretty bad," Trump stated. "I'm not saying anything other than pathological is a very serious disease. And he said he's pathological, somebody said he has pathological disease.
"It's in the book that he's got a pathological temper," Trump continued. "That's a big problem because you don't cure that. You don't cure these people. You don't cure a child molester. There's no cure for it. Pathological, there's no cure for that," he said.
Friday morning, Trump was pressed about his comments by host Brian Kilmeade, and the billionaire dismissed them as part of campaigning.
“Well, it was part of the game," Trump explained. "And all I was doing was trying to say exactly what he said about his growing up, which was tough and I just all I did was read parts of what he said and then I hoped, but it all worked out.
