'Power player' Don Jr. now among 'most powerful conservative voices and influencers alive'

Donald Trump's namesake son has emerged as a "power player" in MAGA land — and he's got his sights set on power-hungry "snakes" and liars trying to infiltrate Dad's administration.

That's according to The New York Times, which remarked Donald Trump Jr., 46, has taken an assertive posture, their words, while his sister Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, have faded from view.

"Don is a power player and I think anybody in Republican politics is realizing that he’s on a list of five of the most powerful conservative voices and influencers alive,” Trump ally Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA, told the Times.

Trump Jr. was reportedly instrumental in helping Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) secure the nomination, so much so Vance called and thanked Trump's son.

Trump Jr. told the Times his mission now is to "make sure those snakes and the liars don’t get those positions of power," echoing rhetoric from Trump's 2016 run in which he vowed to "drain the swamp."

“I think we’ll do a much better job of that this time around because we actually have the experience. We understand who those people are," he said.

The Times reported that Trump Jr.'s ex-chief of staff runs the primary pro-Trump super PAC, his political consigliere holds a similar role for Vance, and his business partner runs a separate allied super PAC.

The report comes after Trump Jr. claimed to have been "blacklisted" from appearing on Fox News and floated a conspiracy theory Wednesday that "Joe Biden didn't really get COVID."

Trump Jr. has been stumping for his father at the Republican National Convention this week in Milwaukee, making headlines over his clash with an MSNBC reporter on the convention floor, in which he blasted the network's "clowns."

"You couldn't wait with your lies and with your nonsense, so just get out of here," he shouted.
