The internet had a quick response on Monday following news that President Donald Trump's MRI was apparently "preventative" and that the president remains in "excellent health."
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced during a press briefing that Trump's cardiovascular imaging is “perfectly normal" after the president said Sunday night that he would release the results of the test.
"His cardiovascular system shows excellent health... and confirms that he remains at excellent overall health," according to the report from Capt Sean P. Barbabella, D.O., the president's physician.
The memo from Barbabella insisted Trump has "no acute or chronic concerns."
Social media users responded to the reported results:
"So laughable. They don't just do MRIs for the fun," retired nurse Linda Moniak wrote on Bluesky.
"There’s no such thing. They only do them when there are symptoms of something wrong," special education teacher Lisa Mikolajczyk wrote on Bluesky.
"Wow, they really think Americans are as dumb as maga," Bluesky user Gustavo wrote.
"Anyone who has had an MRI knows that it is targeted diagnostic imaging used to expose problems not visible via other imaging means. I had an MRI to diagnose a suspected rotator cuff tear, and it took about 15-20 minutes of me lying perfectly still while they imaged ONLY my left shoulder," software developer Mike Day wrote on Bluesky.
"It shows 'excellent cardiovascular health' except that the problem is that you ONLY do a cardiac MRI if the person is having heart problems. So by definition, he's not," science fiction Jennifer R. Povey wrote on Bluesky.
