MS NOW's Joe Scarborough marveled at President Donald Trump's all-night posting sprees, where he amplifies conspiracy theories, attacks his enemies and celebrates himself as the nation sleeps.
The Wall Street Journal this week catalogued 44 flurries of a dozen or more Truth Social posts published between 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. since the 79-year-old Trump returned to the White House, and the "Morning Joe" host expressed alarm about what those posts revealed about the president's mental state.
"So thesethese tweets overnight, andagain, we laugh about them, everybody laughs about them – there's nothing to laugh about," Scarborough said. "I mean, it's justunspooled crazed paranoia. Youyou look at him accusing Barack Obama of a coup, Hillary, Imean, you just go through it.It was just crazed, crazedrantings throughout the night."
"Yeah," agreed co-host Jonathan Lemire, "we have long said thebest window into how President Trump is actually feeling arethe the late-night social mediaposts, and this is the third orfourth time in the last coupleof weeks where he's done one of these."
Scarborough asked Lemire what others in the White House, especially chief of staff Susie Wiles, thought about the posts.
"She doesn't do anything onthe phone, she says that she'sresponsible for Trump's socialmedia content," Lemire said. "At least, she hasa not reliable, but she hasthe minder of him and was inthe mornings and Dan Scavino isat night. But the overnightsessions, that's just him. He'salone. But being that he'sunstaffed, so therefore in themiddle of the night, if he'snot sleeping or if he'swatching television, whateverit is, he delves into this andit's conspiracy theories, andso much of it is just AI slopand just junk. He's justreiterating whatever he sees inhis feed."
