‘Killed by the woke mind virus’: Elon Musk bashed for saying his trans kid ‘dead’ to him

Elon Musk is getting slammed on his social media app after saying his own child is “dead” to him after coming out as trans.

In a conversation with conservative psychologist Jordan Peterson on Monday, Musk described being “tricked” into signing paperwork affirming the gender of one of his children.

“I lost my son essentially. They call it dead-naming for a reason. The reason it's called dead naming is because your son is dead,” Musk said. “So my son, Xavier, is dead. Killed by the woke mind virus.”

Backlash to the comment was nearly immediate on X, which Musk bought and renamed, and within hours “Woke Mind Virus” was listed as trending.

“This is every LGBT person’s nightmare reaction from their parents to them coming out,” wrote Ben Goggin, a deputy editor for NBC News, in an X post.

“What a deadbeat father,” chimed in Harvard Law School instructor Alejandra Caraballo on X.

"Your daughter is alive. It's your own actions that caused you to lose her – not some 'woke mind virus,'" wrote YouTuber Jessie Earl on X. “Absolute anti-trans bullshit propaganda and lies.”

“This is so sad,” wrote St. John’s Law professor Tyler Rose Clemons on X. My parents are lifelong Mississippians and deeply Christian/evangelical. But they have worked hard to maintain and even strengthen our relationship after my transition.”

“It’s Elon who has been infected with an anti-woke mind virus,” Clemons continued. “And it’s killed his humanity.”
