As President Donald Trump claimed he was "disappointed" with Elon Musk's criticism of his spending bill during an Oval Office press conference Thursday, the Tesla founder posted his thoughts on the bill to X.
"Slim Beautiful Bill for the win," Musk posted as Trump's press conference continued on.
Musk followed-up with, "Keep the good, remove the bad."
He also posted a "100" emoji in response to a post saying, "The Senate can cut the pork and send it back. We don't have to throw the baby out with the bathwater here."
Musk kept posting as Trump claimed Musk was upset about incentive cuts to electric vehicles.
"Whatever. Keep the EV/solar incentive cuts in the bill, even though no oil & gas subsidies are touched (very unfair!!), but ditch the MOUNTAIN of DISGUSTING PORK in the bill," Musk wrote. "In the entire history of civilization, there has never been legislation that both big and beautiful. Everyone knows this! Either you get a big and ugly bill or a slim and beautiful bill. Slim and beautiful is the way."
Musk added, "False, this bill was never shown to me even once and was passed in the dead of night so fast that almost no one in Congress could even read it!"
Earlier this week, Musk called the bill an "abomination" and urged Congress to "kill the bill."
