Ex-Celebrity Apprentice star: Trump telling women to drop to their knees is 'completely innocent'

Former Celebrity Apprentice contestant Brande Roderick this week brushed off claims of sexism against Donald Trump, who once told her on national television that having her "drop to her knees" would be a "pretty picture."

During a 2013 episode of Celibrity Apprentice, Brett Michaels told Trump that Roderick had gotten down on her knees while begging not to be fired from the show.

"Excuse me, you dropped to your knees?" Trump asked Roderick. "Must be a pretty picture, you dropping to your knees."

On Wednesday, Roderick appeared on CNN after former "Miss Universe" Alicia Machado revealed this week that Trump had called her "Miss Piggy" and "Miss Housekeeping."

"I, by no means condone bad things being said about anyone," she told CNN's Poppy Harlow. "If my children said some of the things she is accusing Mr. Trump of saying, I would probably wash their mouths out with soap."

Roderick, however, argued that Trump did not deserved to be criticized because he never admitted making the remarks to Machado.

She also insisted that Trump remarks about her dropping to her knees were appropriate when viewed in context.

"There's a difference between somebody saying something derogatory and demeaning, and what he said to me was completely innocent," she asserted. "And believe me, I certainly know the difference between somebody saying something derogatory or demeaning."

"I think a lot of things are taken out of context and I believe that Trump is absolutely the best person to be commander-in-chief. He is the best person to be our president."
