Former MSNBC host Ed Schultz dead at 64

Former MSNBC host and progressive radio personality Ed Schultz has died of natural causes, sources report.

The host was known for championing workers' rights and the middle class.

During Gov. Scott Walker's (R-WI) assault on labor unions, Schultz was on the ground with protesters as they campaigned to hold a recall election.

Schultz attacked MSNBC, alleging that they prevented him from being able to cover Bernie Sanders.

Schultz began his career as a radio host out of Fargo, North Dakota and recently worked for RT.
