Fox News analyst shoots down complaints about Mueller: His probe has turned up a ‘treasure trove’ of evidence

A Fox News judicial analyst began laughing Tuesday when a host asked him whether special counsel Robert Mueller is soon to "wrap up" his investigation into President Donald Trump.

"This is gravely serious," Judge Andrew Napolitano told Fox host Dana Perino. "I'm only laughing because there's so much coming at once."

Napolitano acknowledged that a "phase" of Mueller's investigation is coming to a close -- but that the investigation itself is not yet over.

He then listed reasons for why he doesn't think the special counsel is in his last act:

"One: he keeps getting new evidence," the analyst said. "He got a treasure trove from [Trump's former attorney and "fixer" Michael] Cohen."

"Two: he still has about 16 or 18 Russians that he has to try, he's gonna try them in absentia," Napolitano added.

He then added that federal prosecutors in New York say "they have evidence that the president paid Cohen to commit a crime, which is itself a felony."

"They can't leave that dangling," Napolitano concluded. "They have to do something."
