Fox News' Shep Smith shaken by toddlers suffering trauma in migrant camps: 'They can't even say their parents names'

As a result of separating families at the U. S. -Mexico border, 17 states have rallied together to sue President Donald Trump in an effort to reunite migrant families.

"The administration's practice of separating families is cruel, plain and simple," New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal said in a statement. "Every day, it seems like the administration is issuing new, contradictory policies and relying on new, contradictory justifications. But we can't forget: the lives of real people hang in the balance."

Fox's News Shep Smith was in disbelief as he read the latest report about infants and toddlers being separated from their families because of President Trump's zero-tolerance policy.

"Not yet verbal... meaning they can't even tell those who are keeping them their parents' names," Smith said.

The states that sued are Massachusetts, California, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and Washington.
