Gavin Newsom's Press Office has ripped into Donald Trump's Truth Social activity after a late night posting spree.
A viral post to the Press Office account called on people to stand firm over the next three years as Trump's rhetoric worsens. The Press Office post reads, "In the last 60 minutes, the President has posted 56 times on Truth Social. One post claims Walmart is closing 85% of its California stores because of our '$22 minimum wage.'
"Another features an AI-generated video in which a robot accuses Governor Newsom of running a drug-money laundering scheme out of the Governor’s Office with the Mexican cartel. Just to clarify: — Walmart’s 303 stores in California are open. — The AI robot is lying. Governor Newsom is not Pablo Escobar.
"We cannot believe we have to say any of this out loud. We cannot believe this is real life. And we truly cannot believe this man has the nuclear codes. Deep breaths, everyone. Three more years."
Trump posted criticism of Governor of California Newsom, as well as praise for himself from Speaker of the House Mike Johnson.
Newsom's press team has been openly critical of the president in the past, with Trump's Truth Social post on his appearance in Davos criticized by the governor's team.
Trump wrote, "Gavin Newscum, as a 'Lame Duck' Governor of a Failing State, should not be at Davos running around screaming for the attention of Foreign Leaders, and embarrassing our Country.
"He made a mockery of himself, and everybody, including his staff, knows it! He should get the permits so that people can build their homes destroyed by the fire that he could have prevented if he would have allowed water to flow from the Pacific Northwest."
Newsom's Press Office replied to the post from Trump, which reads, "Rent free." Attached was a video of Newsom smiling into the camera.
