'I did it to the Mafia, I'll do it to you': Giuliani vows to 'find' election riggers

Former President Donald Trump's ally Rudy Giuliani vowed to track down and punish anyone who would try to rig the presidential election, the same way he put away Mafia gangsters as a federal prosecutor.

"If you're behind" election fraud, Giuliani told the crowd at Trump's rally in Uniondale, New York, on Wednesday, "I'll find you."

"I did it to the Mafia, I'll do it to you," he said.

He went on to list a number of allegations about the 2020 presidential election being rigged which, as CNN's Alayna Treene noted, remain baseless.

Giuliani, who is known for having served two terms as the mayor of New York City, has been one of Trump's biggest disciples in promoting false and unsubstantiated claims that the 2020 election was stolen. He was a key player in the Four Seasons Total Landscaping news conference, had a hand in failed lawsuits to overturn the election, and joined strategy sessions with Trump on preventing election certification.

As a consequence, Giuliani faces criminal charges in both Georgia and Arizona. He was also found liable for a $150 million civil judgment after defaming a pair of election workers in Atlanta as having stuffed ballot boxes.

Giuliani, who has oddly compared his dire financial and legal struggles to the victims of Japanese internment camps during World War II, tried to stave off total ruin with a bankruptcy filing; however, a federal judge denied Giuliani bankruptcy protection, citing his repeated failure to meet deadlines to disclose information about his assets.
