Rudy Giuliani flubbed another interview and made Trump look worse

Donald Trump's personal defense attorney told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on Tuesday that special counsel Robert Mueller may have been "confused" when he refused to exonerate the president for obstructing justice.

"I guess technically you would have to say Mueller and [Bill] Barr exonerated him on collusion and the Attorney General, the Deputy Attorney General, [Office of Legal Counsel] exonerated him on obstruction, not Mueller," Rudy Giuliani argued.

"Mueller punted," he argued. "Mueller said, 'I can't say it's a crime but I can't exonerate.'"

"This is about as good as a declination letter I've ever seen," he continued.

"I'd assume the president is upset that Mueller did not completely exonerate him on this as he did on coordination or conspiracy," Blitzer noted.

"They said he is an honorable guy. So I guess he feels, maybe the guy was confused and he punted it," Giuliani charged.
