GOP strategist gets hilariously mocked after trying to convince MSNBC that ‘America is smitten with Ivanka Trump’

Republican strategist Patrick Griffin predicted that Ivanka Trump could be the next U.N ambassador because Americans love her so much, a claim that was promptly laughed out of town.
Asked by host Stephanie Ruhle why he thought "Ivanka is so good for Donald Trump", Griffen replied that it was her fame.
"Ivanka Trump is a celebrity. She's become a celebrity," said Griffin. "I'm not suggesting she's ready to be a cabinet secretary. But I am suggesting that America is somewhat smitten with Ivanka Trump."
This did not go over well with fellow guest, political scientist David Rothkopf. "
"Let's pump the brakes here a little bit, okay," Rothkopf said. "If you want to go and elect, you know, nominate a celebrity for this job, why don't we go to the White House now? The president's having lunch with Kanye. Kanye's just as qualified as Ivanka. He's a celebrity."
Ruhle objected to the comparison, but Rothkopf continued to press his point.
"The reality is what Ivanka Trump has gone out and done is a lot of photo ops," he said dismissively. "She's achieved nothing substantive. She's sat in the president's chair."
"She's been involved in a whole bunch of ethical issues that raise a lot of eyebrows," he added. "I don't think there is anything substantive that anybody can point to that suggests she's a legitimate candidate to be an ambassador for the U.S., other than the fact that she's genetically related to the president."
