HBO's Bill Maher opened Real Time on a triumphant note on Friday as he celebrated a week in which several of Donald Trump's top associates became felons and several others agreed to start cooperating with prosecutors.
Maher saluted the nation's courts, "where real sh*t happens."
"It finally confirmed what a lot of us have been thinking for a long time: I'm not crazy, the president actually is a treasonous crook," he said. "You've heard of Black Friday? This week we had Orange Tuesday. They are rolling up the members of the Trump crime family"
Maher then talked about the felony indictments against Republican representatives Duncan Hunter and Chris Collins.
"If they lock up any more white Republicans the white NFL players are going to have to take a knee," Maher said.
Maher then mocked Trump's strategy of responding by stoking racial resentments and trying to distract with debunked stories about white South African farmers.
"He's like a drug dog for white victimization," he said. "He could go to the deepest reaches of outer space and say 'why aren't there any white holes?'
