Internet baffled after Trump suggests he can hear Putin smile

President Donald Trump left many people confused on Friday after he suggested that he saw Russian President Vladimir Putin smile during a phone call.

Speaking in the White House, Trump said Putin “sort of smiled when he said something to the effect that [Mueller's investigation] started off as a mountain and it ended up being a mouse. But he knew that because he knew there was no collusion whatsoever.”

Many people on Twitter were baffled that Trump indicated that he could hear Putin smile over the phone.

Other people wondered if the call was actually a video conference.
