President Donald Trump left many people confused on Friday after he suggested that he saw Russian President Vladimir Putin smile during a phone call.
Speaking in the White House, Trump said Putin “sort of smiled when he said something to the effect that [Mueller's investigation] started off as a mountain and it ended up being a mouse. But he knew that because he knew there was no collusion whatsoever.”
Many people on Twitter were baffled that Trump indicated that he could hear Putin smile over the phone.
