The internet scorches Barr's 'shameful' defense of obstruction: 'Best press secretary Trump ever hired'

Attorney General William Barr argued that President Donald Trump had not obstructed justice because he was justifiably angry that various investigations into his actions were undermining his presidency.

The attorney general revealed that special counsel Robert Mueller examined 10 instances of possible obstruction, but Barr said he and deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein simply disagreed with the investigation's legal theories -- and dismissed them.

Twitter users immediately howled in protest.
