'It's so painful and awkward': CNN's Anderson Cooper laughs at DeVos 'epic non-response' to Trump lowballing her

On Thursday, CNN's Anderson Cooper laughed at  Education Secretary Betsy DeVos for her “painful and awkward” response to President Donald Trump lowballing her.

Two days after she announced and defended the administration's decision to cut spending from the Special Olympics, Trump changed his mind.

While talking to reporters on the South Lawn, Trump said that he would fund the Special Olympics.

"The Special Olympics will be funded. I just told my people, I want to fund the Special Olympics and I just authorized funding of the Special Olympics," Trump said.

"She was still defending it before the president made his announcement," CNN's Cooper said right before he played a clip of DeVos.

The video then shows DeVos standing in silencing refusing to answer the reporter's questions.

"It's so painful and awkward," Cooper said while laughing. "That's an epic non-response."
