Ex-prosecutor thinks Ivanka has 'damaging testimony' on her brothers and father

Former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner thinks Ivanka Trump has dirt on her father and brothers.

Speaking to Ayman Mohyeldin about the trial, Kirschner and former Republican Tim Miller, the panel pointed to a recent rant on Truth Social, in which the former president went off on Attorney General Letitia James and Judge Arthur Engoron.

"It's a sign of weakness," said Kirschner. "I think we can comfortably predict that tomorrow what we will get from Donald Trump when he hits the witness stand is bluff and bluster and bombast and BS, if I can continue the alliteration. You know that may play well to his base, to his supporters, to folks who don't seem to be all that interested in facts and accuracy and consistency in truth, but you know who the Trump shot will not play well to tomorrow? It's Judge Engoron."

He went on to say that if Trump is foolish enough to think the judge is gullible enough to buy anything, he'll be "sorely mistaken. I do wish the cameras were in the courtroom. Some say that it would give Trump what he wants. I say let the American people see him play the fool on the witness stand and expose him as far and wide as we can."

But the discussion then turned to Ivanka, which Kirschner called "the more perilous testimony."

Mohyeldin wondered why she would try so hard to block her testimony when she is no longer a co-defendant in the case.

"I think because she has potentially damaging testimony against her brothers and her father, and she's doing everything she can to not have to give that testimony," Kirschner said.

He cited three data points that lead to the suspicion she "may have some perilous testimony for her family members."

"One, she has distanced herself from her father ever since he left the presidency," said Kirschner. "Second, as you say, she's been fighting mightily, trying everything from filing legal challenges to a subpoena. There were none. To claiming she has childcare issues? I bet she can afford a nanny for the day. That's the second point. The next point is that when she testified before the Jan. 6th Committee, Ayman, she may not have wanted to throw her father under the bus, but we all saw her do it when they revealed some of that public testimony where she said, I credit Bill Barr that there was no widespread fraud undermining the elections results. I do not credit my father. Maybe she is prepared to present similarly incriminating and damning evidence on the business front, and that's why she is trying so hard to avoid having to testify."
