Ivanka Trump: My dad is 'absolutely not a sexist' because he hired me to work for him

In an interview with CNN's Gloria Borger, Ivanka Trump dismissed allegations that her father has a history of sexism by pointing out that he gave her a job working with her brothers for one of his companies.

From his grading of women according to their looks, to his sexist blast at Fox News host Megyn Kelly claiming she had "blood coming out of her wherever," because he thought she was unfair to him, Trump has fallen behind with women voters -- who just happen to comprise a majority of the electorate.

Asked about her father's apparent sexism, Ivanka Trump shot down the assertion by using her own career as a counterexample.

"He’s absolutely not a sexist,” she stated.  “There’s no way I could be the person I am today if my father was a sexist.”

“I would not be one of his senior-most executives. I would not be working shoulder-to-shoulder with my brothers. I would be working for my brothers, if at all,” she continued, before stating that Trump has a long history of employing women.

Trump not only employs his daughter as an executive, but once commented, "I've said if Ivanka weren't my daughter, perhaps I'd be dating her."
