Amazon was forced to limit reviews of the new book by CNN host Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, the site showed on Tuesday.
The landing page for the book "Original Sin" contains zero reviews. When a user clicks to leave a review, they get a warning reading: "Amazon has noticed unusual reviewing activity on this product. Due to this activity, we have limited this product to verified purchase reviews."
None of his other books appear to have been affected, with the more recent reviews being posted in February.

Tapper has faced criticism from several factions on the left since the release of the book. His appearance on Jimmy Kimmel was canceled, the Daily Mirror reported Monday.
"The Daily Show's" Jon Stewart blasted Tapper on his Monday show for only now revealing insider information about former President Joe Biden that questioned his acuity, and not while he was in office. That said, Stewart also criticized the book's promotion continuing after Biden was given a stage-four cancer diagnosis.
"The View's" Joy Behar attacked Tapper on Tuesday, saying the host should spend more time on the current president's mental fitness and the things he has done in the past several months that she said harm Americans and the global community.
