As part of interviews with three Donald Trump supporters who headed off to Washington, D.C. to attend the post-election "Stop the Steal" rally, one woman called it the biggest mistake of her life and has become a full-throated supporter of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Speaking with the Wall Street Journal, 71-year-old Pam Hemphill pointed out that she went to the rally on a lark with some airline tickets that were gifted to her and ended up inside the Capitol building which she now views as a "huge mistake."
According to the report, for her actions, the life-long Republican ended up imprisoned for 60 days and, upon her release, has since sought to make amends by stating she got caught up in the fiery rhetoric.

The Journal is reporting, "After her release from prison, Hemphill’s perspective gradually shifted. She recoiled after seeing people in her orbit supporting Jan. 6 defendants who had harmed police officers. And she participated in social-media discussions where researchers exposed her to court records and overwhelming evidence that convinced her Biden won fairly. She broke with Trump and the Jan. 6 community last year. "
"Yes, I was in a cult. Yes, Trump is a cult leader,” she admitted. “I wasn’t listening to my own critical thinking. I got caught up in all the lies.”
As for her 180-degree flip to Democrat Harris, she told the Journal, "What she’s wanting to do is actually help the MAGA, help them keep their democracy, and they don’t realize it.”
