Jimmy Kimmel's moving demand for CHIP funding: I don't know how the GOP can give a tax cut to the rich over children

After Jimmy Kimmel's son finished and seemed to be doing well, the late-night host brought the baby boy on television for an important purpose.

“I was out last week -– because this guy had heart surgery. But look he’s fine everybody, he may have pooped but he’s fine,” Kimmel said tearfully. “Daddy cries on TV but Billy doesn’t. It’s unbelievable.

He went on to say that Billy is doing great, but has one more surgery left. "This is amazing -– he had an operation a week ago. They say he’ll probably be on track to win at least a bronze medal at the Olympics in 2036,” he added.

“I don’t know what could be more disgusting than putting a tax cut that mostly goes to the rich people ahead of the lives of children? Why hasn’t CHIP been funded already?” Kimmel told his audience.

Kimmel pleaded last year for thoughts and prayers as his . The story has been turned into a huge political feud between him and President Donald Trump.
