John Kelly claimed Trump wasn't a 'real man' for avoiding Capitol rioters: new book

According to a report from Business Insider, the new book by ABC's Jonathan Karl reveals that a disgusted John Kelly criticized Donald Trump for not going to the Capitol building and calling off his rioting fans on January 6th.

According to Trump's former White House chief of staff, the former president isn't a "real man."

Karl reports that he spoke with Kelly while the insurrection was ongoing and the retired U.S. Marine Corps general complained, "If he was a real man, he would go down to the Capitol and tell them to stop."

Karl also wrote that Kelly believed the 25th Amendment -- which would have stripped Trump of the presidency -- should have been invoked. A belief that was reportedly also shared by former Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin.

According to Business Insider, Kelly told Karl, "If I was still there, I would call the cabinet and start talking about the Twenty-Fifth Amendment," with Business Insider adding, "Despite bipartisan calls to remove Trump at the time, then-Vice President Mike Pence opposed the effort."
