‘Just not who we are’: Montana tavern refuses Donald Trump, Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle

Those close to controversial President Donald Trump continue to face difficulties eating in public.

In June, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was kicked out of the Red Hen restaurant in Virginia and Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen was chased out of a Mexican restaurant in Washington, DC.

Now, President Trump's eldest child is having problems securing a barstool in Montana.

On Tuesday, Republican Matt Rosendale's campaign announced that Donald Trump, Jr. and his girlfriend, former Fox News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle would be campaigning in Bozeman, Montana.

Rosendale is challenging Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) in the 2018 midterm elections.

The Rosendale campaign announced Trump's namesake son and Guilfoyle would speak at the Midtown Tavern next Tuesday.

But, as the Bozeman Daily Chroniclereports, the pair are not welcome.

“We definitely don’t want to take political sides," manager Jeff Wilcox told the newspaper.

“That’s just not who we are," he explained. "We just try to stay politically neutral."

In 2017, Donald Trump, Jr. joined his brother Eric Trump in campaigning for a different Senate hopeful in Montana. The Trump brothers backed Republican Troy Downing.

Despite the star-powered assistance of the Trump brothers, Downing received less than 20 percent of the vote in the June primary. Downing subsequently pleaded guilty to impersonating a Montanan.

The Rosendale campaign says they are searching for an alternative venue for the campaign event.
