Parodies of Katie Britt's 'creepy' and 'breathlessly weird' SOTU rebuttal flood internet

A Republican Alabama senator left onlookers on both sides of the aisle stunned Thursday — and America's comedians could not wait to parody her.

Sen. Katie Britt's video rebuttal to President Joe Biden's State of the Union, which she appears to have delivered from her kitchen, made headlines Friday for just how badly it was received from both parties.

"Creepy," "breathlessly weird," "one of our biggest disasters ever," and "what's wrong with her?" are just a sampling of the feedback Britt has received.

Then the parodies rolled in.

Heather Gardner's Rebuttal To Katie Britt

Satirist Heather Gardner provided a more succinct version of Britt's nearly 20-minute video, but with similar complaints:

1. There was a taco truck on her street and the tacos were probably illegal.

2. Her children go to a school where the Bible isn't the only book.

3. Innocent people are harmed when Bridgestone (reportedly was Britt calls her son) doesn't put the lid back on the milk.

Ben Bowman decided to cut Britt's speech with an interview with James Lipton, who hosted Inside the Actor's Studio. Results are as follows:

Lipton: What turns you on?

Britt: Putin's brutal aggression in Europe.

Lipton: What is your favorite word?

Britt: Rural!

Lipton: What profession would you absolutely not like to mess around with?

Britt: Cleaning the bathroom at my mom's dance studio.

Lipton: What is your least favorite word?

Britt: Unvarnished!

Katie Britt's Unedited Republican Response

This take on Britt casts the senator as the proud mom of daughter "Know Your Place" and son "Make Me A Sandwich B----" who was not allowed to watch the State of the Union and is not allowed to do math.

As she cleans her home, this parody of Britt declares with a smile, "It begins and ends with unthinkable terror, y'all!"
