'She’s historic, she’s young!': Fox News host blasted for mocking Kamala Harris' age

Fox News host Laura Ingraham is fielding backlash on social media after a clip of her mocking the age of Kamala Harris, who is two years younger than Ingraham.

In a segment that began by reflecting on MAGA conspiracy theories that Biden is missing as he recovers from COVID-19 at his Delaware home, Ingraham derided Democrats for initially backing Biden to serve a second term before swiftly pivoting to Kamala Harris.

“She’s historic. She’s young,” Ingraham said in a mocking tone imitating Democratic supporters of the vice president. “By the way she’s going to be 60 on election day.”

On X, users were quick to point out that Ingraham herself is 61.

“So, Ingraham is saying she herself is old, too old,” wrote X user @JKSWonder. “Hear that Fox? Maybe you better consider putting the old girl out to pasture.”

While Ingraham may be 61, “her face is an average of 19,” wrote another, X user. @SuboSays.

Later in the segment, Ingraham went on to suggest that Joe Biden’s legacy will go down in history as a failure.

“The Democrats put all of their chips on Biden and they lost the bet,” Ingraham said. “He’s now going to go down in history as a failure who collapsed the first time he had to really defend his record on national TV. And then, Biden was humiliated by his own party, who forced him out.”

Calling Harris an “untested backup player” to Biden’s proverbial quarterback, Ingraham went on to deride the Democrats' decision to ditch Biden as “not some 3-D chess move,” but an act of desperation.

“If they really thought Harris could have done the job better than Biden, they would have forced them out months ago but they didn't,” Ingraham said. “This is an unserious party run by petty foolish people who always put their own personal interests ahead of what's best for this country.”
