Lesbian comedian has a dream: 'I want Bill Cosby to kill himself on live national television'

Julie Goldman is just a self-described  "butch lez" comedian with a dream. And that dream is that Bill Cosby kills himself on live national television. Julie, who is currently on tour, has, herself been on television, appearing on shows like The Sopranos, The Mindy Project, Bravo's The People's Couch, and The Big Gay Sketch Show. 

Fifty women, as of now, have come forward to accuse Cosby of  rape or sexual assault. And the comedian did testify in 2005 that he bought Quaaludes with the intention of drugging young women he wanted to have sex with. He admitted to using them on at least one woman. And yet, he also insists that he has done nothing wrong.

In October 2014, Hannibal Buress became the first well-known comedian to break the silence around Cosby, during a set at the Trocadero in Philadelphia, in which he said,

It’s even worse because Bill Cosby has the f****** smuggest old black man public persona that I hate. He gets on TV, ‘Pull your pants up black people, I was on TV in the 80s. I can talk down to you because I had a successful sitcom.’ Yeah, but you rape women, Bill Cosby, so turn the crazy down a couple notches. ‘I don’t curse onstage.’ Well, yeah, you’re rapist, so I’ll take you saying lots of motherf****** on Bill Cosby, himself, if you weren’t a rapist. I don’t know what I’m doing by telling you. I guess I want to just at least make it weird for you to watch Cosby Show reruns.

In January 2015, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler skewered Cosby during their hosting of The Golden Globes, and In July of this year, Dennis Leary condemned the comedian during an interview with The Daily Beast. But for the most part, comedians have remained silent.

Julie Goldman, however, took criticism of the comedian a step further by actually saying on stage that she wanted Cosby to kill himself on live national television. As she told me during an interview on my WBAI radio show:

When it was just around ten [women who had come forward], nobody talked about it, nobody wants to put in on Face[book] cause nobody wants to burn any bridges, even though Hannibal Buress said it and his career exploded. But everyone else seems to be very scared and cautious. Comics haven't really been stepping up to the plate. I haven't seen-- for all i know there could be a bunch of comics talking about it. I dunno. But I know that I've said on stage that I want Bill Cosby to kill himself. And I know my stuff is extreme but he raped 50 women so I think it calls for a bit of extrem[ism].

So, the first dream I had was that he  would go on national television and kill himself. I don't think he'll do it.  Now I need him to live.

My dream is this, everybody. This is true and I don't care how it sounds... I'm standing by my... self. I want vigilante justice for Bill Cosby.  I'd kinda like to start a vigilante group, like I really truly do wish that I could do it, where a group of women meet secretly at Chicos and plan who's gonna get, you know, killed... or tortured... I don't need them to die... some of them can use a torturing... but basically, he's gotta go. I mean he has to go. 50 women. 50. Five Zero. Who we know of!
