According to the author of the book Mar-A-Lago: Inside the Gates of Power at Donald Trump's Presidential Palace, former first lady Melania Trump is rarely seen, if at all, at the Mar-a-Lago resort she and her husband Donald Trump now call home.
In an interview with the Telegraph, author and Palm Beach resident Laurence Leamer said Melania used to be seen regularly on the grounds but has been missing as of late and that has become a subject of speculation among regular visitors.
With the report stating, "Prior to becoming first lady, Mrs. Trump would reportedly often be sighted by Mar-a-Lago members, particularly in the club’s beauty parlour. These days, however, residents in the wealthy island enclave say she is rarely seen in public," Leamer told the Telegraph, "Nobody knows where she is. It’s like a mystery. It’s certainly talked about.”

Admitting that he was banned from the premises, Leamer added, "She rarely exits Mar-a-Lago. It’s a strange, isolated life they have in that place."
The author claimed he has a multitude of friends who are regulars at Mar-a-Lago and that they are "bemused by Mrs Trump’s conspicuous absence from the social scene."

According to the report, he said Melania's absence is all the more intriguing because of the proximity of the family’s living quarters “right off the main hall.”
